The
students of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Parish School (Grades 1-8) shall have the
opportunity to participate in the Eucharistic celebration by attending Mass twice
weekly. Grades 1-8 attend on Friday, grades 1-4 attend on Tuesday, and grades
5-8 attend on Thursday. Class attendance may change periodically. We encourage
you to join with us in fostering devotion in our children from their earliest
years. Kindergarten students will attend mass and/or prayer services each semester.
As a Catholic
school family we value and promote our opportunities to develop a personal and
communal prayer life through prayer and scripture in the classroom. During all-school
gatherings we celebrate the seasons of Advent, Lent and Easter, as well as Church
calendar feast days. With this gift of religious freedom we are better able to
foster a deeper personal relationship with Christ.
Students
celebrated All Saints Day Nov. 1 at all-school mass with Father Mike Burke. Fifth
graders made picture cards of their favorite saints and processed into church.
