4th Grade Teacher
Amy Colas began teaching at St. Maria Goretti in 2002 and has always taught fourth grade. She feels so fortunate to be able to teach students at this age. A couple of highlights for her are teaching the students about the state of Wisconsin and long division in math.
She has two bachelor's degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and she completed the degree in Elementary Education in 2002.
Amy and her husband, Juan, have two daughters. Elena lives in Chicago and will receive her master's degree in Social Work next year. Grace works for the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture and was recently married.
In her free time, Amy enjoys farmers markets, trivia, and attending UW Women's Basketball games. She is a fan of the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright and leads tours at the Monona Terrace.
